Eidos stops making games for the GameCube

September 5, 2003

First Acclaim, now Eidos.

Eidos has just come out of a financial crisis which could have lead to them being bought by France's Infogrames. With their latest title "Tomb Raider: Cradle of Darkness" now selling past the one million point, Eidos seems to slowly be getting back on track.

Mike McGarvey, chief executive, claims that "The GameCube is a declining business." Eidos sales on the GameCube were not that strong in the first place, so this decision comes as no surprise.
