Get Paid to Play Nintendo Games

May 6, 2004

This summer, Nintendo is going to be scouting out 48 lucky gamers to show off Nintendo video games at musical, sporing, and lifestyle events in six major cities. On top of their $100/day salary they will receive for a three-day workweek, the Nintendo Street Teams - six in all - will also be competing with each other over a $40,000 team bonus. And you don't even have to be part of the Nintendo Street Team to make some cash, either! One lucky person following the teams' activities from www.nintendostreetteam.com will have the chance to win a cash prize of $5,000.

"The video game industry is one of the fastest-growing in the world," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "You can spend your summer learning valuable skills and becoming an expert in video games – all without wearing a hairnet."

If you're interested in Nintendo's Ultimate Summer Job, and are 18 years old or older, you can get all the information you'll need at www.nintendostreetteam.com.

Eight people from Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and Seattle will be selected on July 5 to partake in the Ultimate Summer Job. GameSpot, a leading video game retail chain, will be hosting live auditions in each city at select locations (check web site as dates and locations are announced). People in those select cities can also send a VHS audition take, maximum two minutes, explaining why they would make the best Nintendo Street Team member.
